    I can always tell when somebody talks through 80% of the lesson then the 20% that's left is going to be pretty worthless. The dudes that talk a lot usually can't play.

    Clickbait. Most boring “lesson” ever. He basically just tells you the name of every fret on the bass. Figured that out all by myself the first five minutes after I picked it up. Do not waste your time watching this crap. It’s completely worthless and an absolute waste of time.

    With the fretless, it's nice to do jazz phrasing. But you play everything on the beat, you miss the upbeat.

    • @BassLessonsOnline
      @BassLessonsOnline 2 роки тому

      Thanks for pointing this out and I apologize for my incorrect terminology/grammar in the video title. What I meant was a groove on a fretless jazz bass, not a jazz groove specifically ... which this is not.

    This is excellent thank you very much. Apologies if I’m wrong but I suppose this is also similar to the G Major pentatonic too?

    • @BassLessonsOnline
      @BassLessonsOnline 2 роки тому

      Hello Mick - well observed. The E Minor Pentatonic and the G Major Pentatonic scales have the same notes. If you are familiar with the term Relative Minor, E Minor is the Relative Minor of G Major.

    Pretty bad fret sound? Do your fret need some maintenance?

    • @BassLessonsOnline
      @BassLessonsOnline 2 роки тому

      Hello Danilo Thanks for checking in with your observation. The bass was recorded quite up-front with newish strings and treble dialed in. (Some people actually like this sound; not me necessarily, except where it has its place.) But to answer your question, no the frets don't need maintenance.
